UNT International (UNT-I) is the administrative unit charged with directing all aspects of UNT's international operations and partnerships. UNT-I is a growing and strongly supported organization and is central to the university's strategic internationalization.

Job Description
The International Affairs Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Application Support Coordinator to join our team. This position, under direction of the Vice Provost and Dean for International Affairs, is responsible for maintaining the integrity and functionality of multiple support software applications within the International Affairs division.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Overseeing the development and maintenance of the Sunapsis and Studio Abroad data/case management systems.
* Serving as the liaison between the division and the internal and external resources needed to ensure the functionality of these systems.
* Working with users and other IT staff to troubleshoot reported IT problems, identify the cause, and develop an approach for resolution.
* Coordinating multiple application interfaces including SEVIS and EIS.
* Serving as a technical advisor to leadership on strategic planning for information technology needs and solutions within the division.
* Working with the appropriate teams to modify existing software, systems, and/or processes to meet user needs.
* Training staff on productive and optimal use of the assigned databases and ensuring the protection of confidential and/or sensitive data.

Additionally, this person must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident in order to meet government eligibility requirements to serve as a Designated School Official and Alternate Responsible Officer.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and one year of related experience in computing, information systems, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Ability to test and install computer programs based on technical specifications using standard development tools.
* Skillful understanding of relational database, client-server concepts, and computer programming, and understanding of all phases of the application development lifecycle.
* Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel).
* Certifications in supported technologies.
* Excellent organization, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
* Ability to work well with people in all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Experience working in a higher education environment
* Experience supporting Studio Abroad and/or Sunapsis
* Familiarity with Peoplesoft and SEVIS
* Ability to communicate technical processes in both written and verbal form
