The Director, Clinical Operations is a member of the Department's senior administrative team and as such, reports to the Associate Chair of Administration. This position will play a key role in strategic planning and performance improvement initiatives for the Department. The position is responsible for developing, forecasting and implementing complex business plans. This position must assist management in decision-making regarding business operations, ongoing projects, departmental strategic planning, and making recommendations by gathering data from multiple sources, assessing the value of information and determining the best method for moving forward. The Department's total research dollars (including grants and clinical trials) grew from 1.4 million in FY2016 to 2.7 million in FY2017, and is expected to continue increasing as the Chair focuses on expanding research efforts. In addition to the research monies, the overall department clinical charges is in excess of 106 million. Since the Department eliminated all 9 clinical Division Managers more than three years ago, this position will play an integral role in managing these funds.

Education Requirements: Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field.

Qualification and Experience: Candidates should have 4-6 years of progressively responsible experience in a healthcare setting. The Director must possess superior verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal behaviors, and the capacity to inspire confidence in his or her reasoning and decision-making.
