Laboratory Assistant, to join a biochemistry lab of approximately twelve students and postdocs who are conducting research centered on protein engineering, optogenetics, directed evolution, chemical biology, neuroscience, genome editing, and microscopy ( Located in Stanford's Clark Center.

Laboratory Assistant will handle laboratory management/organization, purchasing, media and reagent preparation, and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities will also include streamlining laboratory efficiency and developing cost-saving measures. Will also perform some biochemical experiments including preparation of competent bacteria and immunostaining of mammalian cells. Opportunity to participate in original research projects on top of laboratory management and support duties.
REQUIRED: One year of related experience. Seeking a highly motivated, and independent individual who demonstrates strong initiative, organizational skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and resourcefulness. Must be able to thrive in a team-oriented environment and display leadership skills.
