Position Summary

Utilize experience with Bruker, Agilent, Varian, and Chemagnetics systems, as well as background in solid-state NMR and operation of ultrahigh field NMR systems to serve as lead resource for solid-state NMR research experiments including experiment design and setup, data acquisition and interpretation. Serve as primary personnel responsible for general maintenance of NMR instrumentation maintained by the Max T. Rogers facility including cryogen fills (He and N2) and bimonthly performance measurements.  Work with facility users to setup and run experiments and serve as point of contact for NMR services including new user training and advanced user support. Keep abreast of the latest advances in NMR Spectrometry. Serve as backup for facility director as needed.

Required Degree


Minimum Requirements

Candidates must hold a minimum of a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field and two years of full-time (or four years of part-time) related research experience with an emphasis in NMR spectroscopy.
