Research Associate-Fixed Term
The lead statistician is an integral member of the System exChange Research and Evaluation Team led by Dr. Foster-Fishman. This team works on understanding and promoting community systems change.
The statistician hired for this position will have primary responsibility for planning and conducting the quantitative data analysis for a variety of evaluation and research projects, including: translating research questions into appropriate statistical analyses; creating data analysis plans; managing and integrating datasets; analyzing complex data through descriptive and inferential statistical analyses; and supporting project teams across a variety of analytic support needs. The statistician works closely with other team leads to write and create reports that are high-quality and user-friendly for our partner communities. Central to community systems change is continuous and adaptive learning. Evaluation/learning activities are real-time.Required Degree
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through completion of 6 years post-bachelor degree work, such as a Master's or Ph.D degree program in a social sciences area or evaluation/statistics; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Four to six years related work experience in quantitative research and statistical analysis; research methodologies, writing reports, data interpretation and handling;extensive computer skills including, (but not limited to): Word, Excel, SPSS, Qualtrics, Powerpoint
Four to six years years of statistics experience including experience with community-based evaluation and research. Background in evaluation theory and practice, with experience in HLM required. Experience in SEM and network data analysis desired. Experience writing statistic findings for lay and academic audiences.Required Application Materials
