Job Summary/Basic Function: The Department of Science and Mathematics, in the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks applications from qualified candidates for a full-time non-tenure track Lecturer position in mathematics, specializing in application of computational tools and/or algebraic applications and focused on best classroom practices and/or assessment methods in lower-division course work, beginning in fall 2018. Teaching of both lower and upper division undergraduate courses is expected. The College seeks excellence in instruction. The regular teaching load is 4/4. Summer teaching assignments may be available but are not guaranteed.
Work Hours: Depends on course schedule. Teaching assignments may include day, night, and weekend classes.

Necessary Qualifications: A Master's degree in Mathematics or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics.
Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or Mathematical Science, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Necessary Qualifications: A minimum of one year college or university teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Willingness to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Broad training in mathematics and experience teaching all levels of an undergraduate mathematics curriculum, including statistics.
Familiarity with the needs of a non-traditional, first-generation, culturally diverse student body.
Familiarity with high-impact educational practices such as cooperative education, service learning, and undergraduate research.
Experience with contemporary instructional technologies such as learning management systems and e-portfolios.
