FINANCIAL MGMT ANALYST III
Responsibilities for this position will include: Develop analyze and prepare reports regarding financial performance of department.
Report preparation includes: variance analysis of actual performance to annual budget, revenue forecasting, operational and capital budgets, clinical and quality metrics, and profit and loss statements of department, sections within the department and individual faculty members.
Serve as primary liaison between PDC, DUH, and SOM finance offices.
Prepare requested monthly, quarterly financial analysis on Department's clinic and research functions, advise business units regarding changes that may impact patient receipts, in directs funds flow to the institution, and updates on financial performance.
Monthly monitoring ofall contracts including: DCI PSA, Peds PSA, Spine Co management Agreement, Medical Directorships, etc
Report and planning associated with clinical and quality metrics including: wRVUs, clinic sessions, bumps, cFTE calculations, closures of encounters, HCAHPS and CG-CAHPS, patient readmits.
Provide support to clinical vice chair on patient quality metrics.
Annual development of departmental budget for SOM.
Development and continuing analysis of Departmental scorecard for leadership to benchmark performance against internal and external peers, including: access, outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
Support of business plans associated with growing programs in: stroke, endovascular, and functional neurosurgery
Development of Departmental financial policies and procedures in the establishment of the new department including: funds flow, allowable costs, faculty performance metrics, JVs, salary settings, FTE setting, clinical research budgeting, total effort setting, etc.

Work requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics,Business Administration or a related field. CPA is desirable.
