Duties: The Project Manager is responsible for supporting and implementing Penn LDI's policy initiatives focused on improving the health of low-income populations. The Project Manager will primarily facilitate LDI's initiative on expanding health coverage, which includes LDI's research partnership with an external organization, as well as managing working groups and conferences. The Project Manager will be responsible for internal communication, planning, and timelines of projects and workplans, as well as contributing to policy analysis as needed. The role requires communication with faculty and external partners, as well as working within a team-based approach to project deliverables. The Project Manager also supports LDI's Policy Team as needed on other initiatives, research projects, and conferences. * Project management of LDI's research partnership with external partner, including contributing policy analysis. Manage LDI's workplan for this partnership, and maintain agreed process/timelines. * Facilitation of LDI-led initiative on expanding health coverage. * Support for other LDI strategic initiatives - meetings, communications. * Writing and production of editorial products covering research and other contributions to the LDI Policy Team as needed. * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned This position is fully funded for 3 years. Contingent upon additional funding the Project Manager position could be extended.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Master's degree and 5-7 years of experience preferred. Educational background and/or professional experience in health care or health policy required. Political experience a plus. The Project Manager must be analytically skilled, thrive in multi-tasking environments, and be a self-starter with a results orientation. The Project Manager will interact with a variety of faculty members, staff, and students throughout the university and individuals outside the university, so strong interpersonal communication skills are essential. High accuracy, strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, dependability, and attention to detail will be vital to success in the position. The Project Manager should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
