Job description

Duties: Manages multiple projects and competing priorities for the Associate Dean for Research & Innovation. Provides high-level administrative support for the Associate Dean for Research & Innovation, the Director of the Office of Nursing Research, the Office of Nursing Research (ONR) team and research constituents. Utilizes sound judgment, effective planning and timely follow-up to ensure effective use of the Associate Dean and Director's time. Supports presentations, publication, grant writing and report generation through literature reviews, proofing, preparing final products and managing submission of publication, grants, and reports. Coordinates meetings handling all necessary arrangements (room reservations, participant lists, invitations, technology needs, catering, etc.). Manages a complex calendar using discretion to prioritize meetings and maintain professional relationships. Composes correspondence, coordinates travel utilizing effective systems to ensure priorities are met. Process and manages expense reimbursements for the ONR team. Provides limited financial support to the grant managers.

Qualifications: BA/BS with 3- 5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience working at the executive level required; Masters degree preferred.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills needed. Strong oral and written communication skills essential. (Writing samples are required). The successful candidate will possess exceptionally sound judgment, problem-solving skills, responsive to changing and complicated needs, exquisite skills dealing with internal and external constituencies and be able to anticipate needs. Strong PC skills in MS Office and seeking data (e.g., library searches, securing data from a variety of sources needed. Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and multiple priorities. The position requires initiative, the capacity to exercise discretion in working with highly confidential matters and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of University policies and procedures desired.
