Minimum Education/Experience: Graduation from state-accredited school of registered nursing and two years of nursing experience, with at least one year in the assigned specialty area. Must have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Job Duties: Under general supervision, the Nurse Specialist provides goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. The nurse specialist will work closely with principal investigators and the Director of the Neprology Lab to manage clinical research projects.
