The Department of English at Lewis University seeks a full-time, tenure track faculty member at the Assistant Professor rank. This position will begin August 2018.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in the first-year writing and undergraduate majors programs
  • Pursue an active scholarly agenda in the innovative teaching of writing and writing program administration
  • Provide service to the department focused on First-Year Writing, Professional Writing, and students majoring in Writing and English. Teaching load is 4/4

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition; at least three years related teaching experience. Candidates who are ABD will be considered if degree requirements will be completed by August 2018.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in undergraduate writing program administration.
