The Faculty at the San Francisco Ph.D. Clinical Psychology Program invite applications for a full-time core faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor rank to start in Fall 2018. A second, full-time visiting faculty appointment will also be considered (pending budgetary approval). The San Francisco-Bay Area offers unique, innovative, and ample opportunities for faculty and students at CSPP-SF. Applicants whose interests intersect with or complement areas of current faculty strengths are encouraged to apply. Specifically, we are seeking applicants with a multicultural focus, and expertise in applied research along with one or more of the following areas of expertise: 1) trauma and its psychological effects; 2) psychodiagnostic assessment; 3) neuropsychology; or 4) applied and community research. Other related areas will be considered. We are particularly interested in applicants who can teach Advanced Statistics, and Research Design & Psychometrics graduate courses. We are also interested in faculty members who can teach Psychodiagnostic Assessment, other foundational graduate courses, and our multi-year research seminar class. Candidates with a strong research background who can direct student research, including dissertations and applied psychological research projects are encouraged to apply.
Requirements: 1) Completion of a clinical or counseling psychology Ph.D. from an APA-accredited program is preferred; PhD in other areas of psychology (experimental, cognitive, developmental, social, etc.) may be considered 2) Completion of an APA-accredited internship is required for candidates with a clinical or counseling psychology PhD; and 3) License-eligibility in California is required for candidates with a clinical or counseling psychology PhD. The successful applicant should demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence, diversity-related issues, clinical expertise, and productive scholarship. The CSPP Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program follows a scholar-practitioner training model and is housed within Alliant International University, which also endorses professional practice and competency-based training models.
