Job Summary/Basic Function: The Department of Social Sciences at Texas A&M University-San Antonio seeks to fill one tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank beginning Fall 2018. The area of research specialization is open; however, candidates with the ability to teach criminological theory, research methods, and statistics are especially encouraged to apply. A successful candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution. ABD candidates may also be considered with degree completion expected by date of employment. Candidates must also demonstrate evidence of active scholarly research, and have a minimum of one year of college or university teaching experience. The regular teaching load is 3/3. Summer teaching assignments may be available, but are not guaranteed.
