Job Summary/Basic Function: The College of Business is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning in Fall 2018. The appointment is for an Assistant Professor of Computer Science/Computer Information System to teach undergraduate courses and advise students. The College offers BS degree in Computer Science, BBA degree in Computer Information Systems and the BAAS degree in Information Technology. It plans to offer an MS degree in Computer Science in the near future. The department plans to seek ABET and/or AACSB accreditation for its programs. Quality performance will be expected in teaching, service, and research. Preference will be given to candidates who have research specialties in computer security/cyber security but can teach a variety of Computer Science/Computer Information System courses; have potential/record of research productivity; have relevant certification and industry experience and have effective communications skills. The successful candidate will preferably have: A PhD (before employment begins) in CS/CIS or related field.
Research Experience in the field as demonstrated by professional publications and/or research grants. Experience in teaching at the College or University level.
Familiar with non-traditional commuter University setting. Experience in working with culturally diverse populations.
Work Hours: Depends on course schedule. Teaching assignments may include day, night, or weekend classes.

Necessary Qualifications: Earned doctorate degree in Computer Science/Computer Information Systems or related field from a regionally accredited institution. ABD will be accepted if the requirements for the Ph.D. degree are completed before August 15, 2018.
18 graduate hours in Computer Science/Computer Information Systems.
