Job Summary/Basic Function: Provide one on one and small group tutoring to current Texas A&M University-San Antonio students in Behavioral Statistics and Research Methods. Professional Tutor is responsible for meeting with professors to verify knowledge of course content and requirements. Professional Tutor may also conduct information sessions regarding Tutoring Services. Professional Tutor will assist with signing students in/out of Tutoring Center and utilizing tracking database.
This position is for fiscal year 2018 (fall 2017, spring and summer 2018 semesters). Renewal is based on funding and/or academic need for fiscal year 2019.
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, hours will vary. Some weekend and evening hours may be required.

Necessary Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Criminology or other related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's level course work in Psychology, Sociology, Criminology or other related field.
Necessary Qualifications: Successful completion of Behavioral Statistics and Research Methods.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous tutoring experience.

Other Qualifications for Posting: Necessary
Working knowledge of STATA, z-tests, t-tests, ANOVA, correlations, SPSS, and regression. Ability to work cooperatively with others and provide excellent customer service to students, employees, and the community. Ability to multi task.
Experience with scheduling software.
