Position: Administrative Services Coordinator, 1 position available, 100%, non-tenure track academic professional appointment.

Available: As soon as possible after search close date.


B.S. required in child development, early childhood or closely related field with a minimum of 18 hours of college course work in Early Childhood Education/Child Development. Minimum of two years work experience is required with experience in a child care or school setting preferred. Must be director qualified per Illinois State DCFS standards.


*Manage the daily operations of the Child Development Laboratory programs in the absence of either, Director or Associate Director.

Duties include: training and supervising Head Teachers; oversee development and delivery of high quality early education curriculum for the children; provide leadership in supervision and training of student interns placed at CDL; and support the researchers who use the CDL as a data collection site.
*Coordinate human resource needs for the Child Development Laboratory programs in cooperation with and under the guidance of Departmental Business Office human resources personnel. Serve as liaison with University SHR in regard to specific qualifications and testing requirements for the civil service teacher positions.
*Responsible for management and coordination of computerized records of children and their families as required by State of Illinois licensing regulations and NAEYC accreditation.
*Coordinate the work schedules and provide administrative level supervision of college work study students and other part time students employed by the Child Development Laboratory.
*Organize, manage, and evaluate computerized records and reporting functions as required by the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program.
*Monitor, evaluate, and revise records and reporting functions required for monthly billing of tuition and fees.
*Identify and develop training resources in conjunction with Associate Director and Head Teachers for full time teaching staff, including training development and delivery to part time student employees.

Salary: Mid $30,000 salary range based on education and work experience.
