Job description




The Department of Physics invites applications for a full-time tenured or tenure track faculty position in Experimental Biological Physics with an emphasis in cellular biophysics. The start date is as early as August 16, 2018. Appointments at the Assistant Professor level will be given preference, but appointments at a higher level will be considered for exceptionally well-qualified candidates. A Ph.D., or equivalent, is required, along with the ability to teach effectively at both undergraduate and graduate levels and to conduct a vigorous and significant research program at the cutting edge of the field. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications.

Qualified senior candidates may also be considered for tenured full Professor positions as part of the Grainger Engineering Breakthroughs Initiative.
