The Compassionate Schools Project affiliated with Youth-Nex and the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia is seeking multiple applicants for a 20 hour a week part-time salaried Research Coordinator position with benefits. The incumbent works with subjects/students enrolled in the Compassionate Schools research project being conducted within participating public school systems in Louisville and Jefferson County KY. The Research Coordinator: recruits and consents subjects; organizes and completes computerized classroom observations; and administers, scores and codes achievement tests. The incumbent additionally coordinates the processes of assessments and data collection, working with supervisors and other staff. Reliable transportation for traveling between schools in Louisville and Jefferson County KY is required.
An Associate's degree or equivalent coursework is required. At least two years of experience communicating/working with children and adults from diverse backgrounds in education, customer service, sales, human services or similar capacity are also required. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of experience in survey administration or conducting educational or clinical assessments with children and/or adults. Ability to use and troubleshoot technology, including video cameras, laptops and tablets is essential.
