The Department of Medicine, Division of General, Geriatric, Palliative and Hospital Medicine at the University of Virginia (UVa) is seeking to hire multiple Palliative Care Physicians. Responsibilities will include co-managing and attending on an inpatient palliative care unit, facilitation of one or more outpatient clinics, and staffing of a consult service as well as education of trainees. Opportunities to participate in research are available. Experience in palliative inpatient and outpatient care settings as well as a palliative consult services is preferred.
Candidates for these tenure-ineligible, open rank positions must be board-certified in Internal Medicine and board certified or board eligible in Palliative Care by appointment start date. Tenure-ineligible positions may qualify to convert to tenure-track at an appropriate time in the future consistent with the School of Medicine promotion and tenure guidelines and candidate qualifications.
