The Department of Biology at the University of Virginia invites applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the Laboratory of Dr. Michael Timko to join an interdisciplinary team studying the control of lateral branching in crop plants. The research is aimed understanding the molecular genetic processes underlying axillary shoot development and the molecular factors that regulate this developmental process.
This position requires a Ph.D. in plant biology, plant genetics, or related field by the appointment start date and prior training and experience in plant molecular biology, gene expression analysis, and transgene expression technologies as evidenced in the applicant's published works. It is required that the candidate be available and authorized to start no later than January 15, 2018.
