Posting Summary:
The department of Information Technology Services seeks a dynamic Linux and storage engineer to join our high performing Systems and Storage team. As a core "doer" of this team, the incumbent will provide deployment, configuration, troubleshooting and automation support for enterprise and contract Linux systems. They will assist the storage team with the same across our NAS, Object, HSM and Archival storage solutions. The position will work directly with end users and staff, as well as other technical professionals across ITS and UVA. We are looking for a strong team player with polished Linux and Storage technology skills, to help us develop and implement best of class solutions for a dynamic academic community.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of, and experience with, server hardware, storage arrays and tape libraries. Solid linux system administration skills. Understanding of block, object and file storage methodologies and vendors in the space. Shibboleth. Good oral and written communications skills.
