Posting Summary:
The University of Virginia is currently seeking a Senior Director of Talent Recruitment. This is a strategic role designed to manage best in class Talent Recruitment services to support the University of Virginia's Academic Division and Health System. This position is responsible for leading and overseeing all strategic initiatives across the Talent Recruitment teams by monitoring effectiveness, anticipating emerging needs, establishing and maintaining key relationships, developing talent recruitment policies, and ensuring a positive and consistent candidate experience. The Sr. Director ensures that the Talent Recruitment practice builds trust with hiring managers and candidates, focuses on attracting world-class talent, while improving time to hire and increasing retention. The incumbent will report to the AVP, Talent and manage a team to include an HR Director and team of HR Managers.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to -

1. Develop and execute strategic plans for talent recruitment and provide direction and insight to the Talent Recruitment practice, identifying and prioritizing opportunities, deploying appropriate resources and measuring associated outcomes
2. Coordinate closely with AVP, Talent to identify and support the overall HR talent strategy
3. Monitor progress on key recruiting initiatives, identifying and removing barriers in coordination with AVP, Talent and University stakeholders
4. Work with EOCR to establish recruitment procedures that ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and industry specific regulations
5. Cultivate diversity and inclusion by implementing best practices and communicating to appropriate parties about issues relating to diversity and inclusion
6. Maintain relationships with external partners, including recruiting agencies and vendors
7. Evaluate and report on Talent Recruitment performance against metrics or key performance indicators (KPIs)
8. Champion talent recruitment policy harmonization and consistency across the HR organization
9. Evaluate Talent Recruitment customer satisfaction and manage relationships with key customers
10. Interact and develop relationships with key leaders with the Medical Center, UPG, Administrative Units and Academic Schools and Units to identify key priorities and identify recruitment resources that deliver value
11. Stay current with relevant recruiting industry trends and participate in best practice discussions with national peer groups. Relates applicable best practices back to team

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
