The Department of Systems and Information Engineering in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a general faculty teaching and leadership position for the School's Accelerated Master's Program (AMP). The position is open to all ranks (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor), depending on the qualifications of the applicant. Responsibilities include teaching four to six courses per year in Systems Engineering areas in support of the Department's on-grounds B.S. and M.E. programs and AMP. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support for AMP, including recruiting and advising students, leading curricular development, and assisting in program expansion. This full-time salaried position starts in the spring term of 2018 for a term of three years, and is renewable based on performance and continued availability of funding. Rank and compensation is contingent upon experience.
Candidates must have a PhD in Systems Engineering or a related field by the appointment start date, as well as experience in teaching and academic leadership.
