Posting Summary:
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Virginia is seeking applicants for multiple Postdoctoral Research Associate positions in the Medical Physics Division. Responsibilities include all aspects of developing advanced radiation therapy treatment techniques including dose delivery verification, 4D dose evaluation, dose optimization, and related image guided radiation therapy applications.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent, completed by start date, in Medical Physics, Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering. A background in Medical Physics is preferred, but not required. Strong scientific programming skills in C++ or other programming language are required. Skills in image processing, deformable image registration and radiotherapy plan optimization are desirable. The ability to work in a team environment, leadership qualities, and problem-solving skills are highly valued.
