Posting Summary:
The McIntire School of Commerce seeks applications for a very versatile web developer responsible for the management of The position will work as an integral part of the creative team and will help support our mission to elevate the digital reputation of the McIntire School, promote its brand, and develop creative content across owned and earned platforms. The Assistant Director will work alongside marketers, writers, video producers, photographers and others, and will be responsible for innovative and strategic use of Drupal to showcase rich media and creative content on the School's web presence. The Assistant Director also will play a role in leveraging the School's holistic digital footprint within the context of McIntire's overall marketing and communications positioning strategy. Primary responsibility will be front-end/back-end oversight of McIntire's Drupal web presence and its related WordPress sites.

Required Experience:
-5-7 or more years using HTML, PHP, CSS and JavaScript
-2 years maintaining a site built with Drupal including templating and custom build
-Analytics and analysis (e.g. Google AdWords, analytics)
-Project management
-Client management

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Ability to facilitate the entire web development process end-to-end, including design, development and deployment of visual enhancements, features and functionality
-Ability to produce wireframes when necessary
-Knowledge of brand stewardship in the context of both visual style guidelines and a content strategy
-Knowledge and expertise with cross-browser compatibility issues
-Comfortable establishing and guiding website architecture/navigation, labels and nomenclature
-Experience ensuring that all published content complies with copyright laws and applicable regulations
-Demonstrated project management experience overseeing multiple, high-level projects simultaneously
-Familiarity with ADA compliance
-Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, with desire to continually improve the website look and feel (particular emphasis on modernizing the visual identity and video integration)
-Working knowledge of email marketing platforms and HTML email design and best practices
-Top-notch visual and written communication skills with an eye for detail
-Strong ability to prioritize work and resources across assignments, based on short and long-term needs
-Ability to think in terms of positive solutions for negative problems
-Impeccable client management skills
-Collaborative, team player able to contribute creative ideas in team setting
-Strong understanding of global perspectives
-Willingness and interest in learning new skills and adapt in growing team environment
-Ability to exercise appropriate discretion when dealing with sensitive issues
