Posting Summary:
The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Virginia Health System is seeking a full-time reconstructive and microvascular surgeon to join its academic faculty. All ranks and tenure tracks will be considered, however the ideal candidate will have previous clinical experience and an established academic record. The faculty member will have the opportunity to teach residents, engage in research, and participate in clinical program development. Areas of focus include breast reconstruction, lymphedema surgery, oncologic/traumatic reconstruction, with opportunities in all aspects of plastic surgery. All candidates must have an MD and completed a fellowship in microsurgery and be ABPS board certified or eligible with a strong interest in teaching and basic science or clinical outcomes research.
