The University of Virginia's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences seeks candidates for a Research Associate postdoctoral position for the Energy Science, Nanotechnology and Imagination lab (E-Snail), in the Charles L. Brown Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.

This position is appointed annually and renewed for additional one-year increments up to three years, contingent upon available funding and satisfactory performance. Candidates must have a PhD in electrical engineering, physics, materials science or a related area by the appointment start date. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in electron and phonon transport measurement techniques in 2D materials and thin-films. Responsibilities include sample preparations, characterization, and transport measurements and analysis.

The project is funded by NSF and is in collaboration with thermal management and diagnostics group of UVa.
