Posting Summary:
The Center for Transportation Studies (CTS) at the University of Virginia has been selected to administer the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) national tribal technical assistance program. Currently in its startup phase, the program will deliver transportation training and technical assistance in classrooms, online and face-to-face in 12 regions starting in February and continuing for a period of two years. CTS seeks a skilled training program coordinator on a full-time basis for the duration of the two year period.

Primary responsibilities include managing and maintaining a training registration database for members of the tribal transportation community across the country, researching and securing meeting room space throughout the 12 Bureau of Indian Affairs regions, providing proactive and friendly customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, overseeing quality assurance and production of instructor PowerPoint slides and training materials, utilizing ChromeRiver to purchase airfare and lodging accommodations as well as processing travel reimbursement requests for training team, scheduling and tracking required core curriculum delivery, gathering and organizing content to meet monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.

Qualified applicants must have a bachelors degree, at least five years of relevant experience and proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and other MS Office products. These duties require meticulous attention to detail, an exemplary work ethic, a natural inclination to put team above self, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a comfort level with evolving technologies necessary to support team members who will work remotely, managing fast-paced priorities and a multitude of moving parts, all while approaching high demands with calm and grace.
