Posting Summary: The University of Virginia Department of Orthopaedic Surgery seeks applications for a Clinical Research Coordinator in multiple divisions. This position provides high quality, timely, and accurate clinical research coordinator services as assigned by the director of clinical research and the departmental chair. These services include, but are not limited to: clinical research support, both funded and unfunded, communication with local IRB, oversight of contracts and budget processes, post-award management support, and support for submitting applications for future funding. The successful applicant should have excellent communication and organizational skills and at least one year of experience in a clinical practice and/or clinical research. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's in Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Nursing or a related field is highly preferred. CRC certification is also preferred.
This position is restricted and contingent upon the continuation of funding.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Ability to communicate among a medical and research team. 2. Ability to interact with patients, family, and outside sponsors' personnel. 3. Organizational skills and time management skills. 4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 5. Basic computer, web, and data management skills.
