The Department of Pharmacology at the University of Virginia seeks applications for a Senior Scientist position. The incumbent will perform Alzheimer's Disease-related research targeting A-mediated cell cycle reentry (CCR) in neurons. The incumbent will be expected to use a combination of advanced molecular, cellular and high throughput methodologies to help identify genetic and pharmacological mediators of neuronal A-mediated CCR. Experiments will focus the development and implementation of a high content screening assay for CCR.
Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. in Biology or Pharmacology or related field and four to six years of research experience with relevant publications. Experience with cell cycle, screening and Alzheimer's disease is preferred.
