The University of Virginia's Department of Printing and Copying Services is currently seeking an Assistant Copy Manager.
The Assistant Copy Manager will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to: overseeing the daily operation and maintenance of a network-based printing system (equipment, staff, service), including employee and patron training, regular data collection, and the generation and submission of appropriate managerial reports; maintaining and monitor the public printer software to ensure all units and the system are functioning properly; providing timely and professional customer service; and ensuring service levels are maintained. Additionally, the Assistant Copy Manager will provide support of the public print system and staff which may require evening and/or weekend coverage.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good planning, organizational and supervisory skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to direct a large technical staff. Ability to provide effective training to individuals of diverse backgrounds. Ability to deal effectively with a diverse public, both individually and through presentations to groups. Demonstrated working knowledge of accounting and business functions to effectively administer division budgeting. Demonstrated working knowledge of current, state-of-the-art copier/digital image production technology and equipment. Demonstrated working knowledge of operation and maintenance of print networks. Strong computing skills (spreadsheet, word processing, network usage, and other applicable packages).
