The Corcoran Department of History at the University of Virginia is seeking a Communications Coordinator. The incumbent in this position will perform a broad range of functions to support the internal and external communication and technology needs of the History Department. They will develop, support, and maintain the units' web and social media platforms and proactively populate those platforms with relevant content. The Coordinator develops, supports, and maintains searchable and online databases. The Coordinator is also the technological point person for the units' on-line data-gathering systems. The Coordinator will follow and keep the units informed about the work of other key information and technology related entities on grounds, including SHANTI, ITS, ASCS, and the Office of Technology Strategies, and will work with these entities as appropriate.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail is required.
