A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the University of Virginia to study the molecular and epigenetic mechanisms of leukemia. In this role, the candidate will utilize cellular and animal models to identify and validate genetic and epigenetic basis of leukemia. The candidate must work independently and ethically, document all research data appropriately, assist graduate students in the lab, apply for independent funding where applicable, and publish data in qualified journals.
Interested candidates with a recent PhD or MD/PhD degree in Biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, immunology or related field are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have a proven track record in research with first author publications in reputed journals. Experience in flow cytometry and animal handling is preferred.
