Posting Summary:
University of Virginia Information Technology Services seeks an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the UVACollab development team. This position will work with a small, agile-oriented, diversely talented and enthusiastic team of software engineers, system administrators, and QA/support staff to maintain and improve UVACollab, UVA's central online learning management system. We are looking for a candidate with experience and passion to help us deliver quality features and customizations that meet functional, user experience, and accessibility requirements. Your responsibilities will include developing bug fixes and applying patches; designing and implementing new features; evaluating user requests; thorough testing and documentation; bug report analysis and tier three support; and special projects. You will have the opportunity to take primary responsibility for major deliverables, help set direction and priorities, improve internal workflows, participate in the Sakai open source community, and ensure the continued success of a critical, high availability, scalable enterprise application at UVA.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with the Unix operating system and command line is required.
