Posting Summary:
The Center for Comparative Medicine is looking for an Animal Caregiver to provide animal care to research animals in a laboratory setting. This position is responsible for providing animal husbandry and general sanitation for the facility which includes cagewash duties, use of the sterilizer and general facility upkeep. Incumbents must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs and be comfortable working with lab animals, specifically mice. This position requires standing nearly all day and performing highly repetitive movements of the arms, back and waist. Incumbents will be expected to work a rotating schedule which includes a combination of weekday, weekend and holiday coverage.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be comfortable working in an animal research facility and animal handling
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Clear communication skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
