The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal and Fetal Medicine (MFM) at the University of Virginia, seeks applicants to become Program Director for our MFM Fellowship Program. The successful applicant will be tenure-eligible and will need to meet criteria for program directorship as specified by the ACGME, including being 5 years removed from completion of fellowship and having on-going research projects. ABMS board certification (or be an active candidate) or equivalent (e.g. Royal College) are also required.
The successful applicant will join an academic MFM division of four which has a strong commitment to clinical care, education, and research. Rank, tenure status, and compensation are dependent upon qualifications. A major commitment to teaching, clinical service, and scholarship is essential. The Department has an active and diverse high-risk prenatal service, both in-patient and out-patient, that provides an excellent source for clinical research material as well as provides a full range of clinical and prenatal diagnosis services. The Department also has access to outstanding resources for research, including basic science laboratories.
