Posting Summary:
The Cancer Center is seeking a PRC/DSMC Coordinator to assist and support the Cancer Center's Protocol Review Committee (PRC) and Data and Safety Monitoring Committee (DSMC). This position supports the Cancer Center's Protocol Review Committee (PRC) and Data and Safety Monitoring Committee (DSMC). This person is responsible for day-to-day functioning of the PRC and DSMC and ensures that both PRC and DSMC committees remain in compliance with UVA and NIH policies.

As PRC Coordinator, this individual is responsible for management of all cancer-related protocols submitted through the Clinical Trials Monitoring System (OnCore), which are later reviewed by the PRC. This person is responsible for organizing monthly PRC meetings, including preparation of the agenda, communication between PRC and study teams, communication with IRB, taking minutes of the meetings, and maintaining relevant documentation. This individual is also responsible for organizing all the received reviews and for uploading them to OnCore.

As DSMC Coordinator, this person is responsible for management of all activities associated with Data and Safety Monitoring Committee (DSMC) activities. This includes: organization of monthly meetings, running DSMC reports from OnCore database, distribution of reports to DSMC members, communication with study teams, Institutional Review Board (IRB), and Post Approval Monitoring (PAM) as needed, taking minutes at the meetings, and maintenance of all relevant documentation.

This position is restricted and contingent upon continuation of funding.

This position requires an Associate's degree or higher and a minimum of two years' experience working in a fast paced business or research environment with high level of office administration. Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
