Posting Summary:
The Department of Public Health Sciences is seeking a Research Coordinator to support the activities of a research project designed to detect, understand, and reduce disparities in diabetes preventive care between the counties in the Diabetes Belt and the surrounding areas and within the Diabetes Belt itself. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the investigators in all aspects of these projects, including: providing coordination for the research teams; scheduling, organizing, and conducting research meetings; searching and maintaining relevant health literature databases; conducting data analysis and chart reviews; creating model diagrams; executing experiments with computer models; and writing reports as needed.

Candidates must have an associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/course work. At least one year of research experience required. Experience obtained as a student may be considered. Experience in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data are strongly preferred.

This is a part-time, 20-hours-per-week position. This is a restricted position contingent upon the continued availability of funding.

1. Analytical skills required.
2. Superb oral and written communication skills.
3. Ability to perform literature reviews and analysis.
4. Knowledge of data management.
5. Possesses and displays organization and interpersonal skills.
