The Office of Advancement in the School of Engineering seeks a Development Associate to support our growing, highly-integrated, and collaborative advancement team pursuing ambitious fundraising goals leading into the University's multi-billion-dollar Third Century Campaign.
The successful candidate will play a critical role by providing administrative support to the Engineering Advancement team. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving and Strategic Initiatives, the Development Associate is responsible for assisting with prospect management, making travel arrangements, preparing itineraries and prospect materials, maintaining donor records, generating database reports and preparing spreadsheets, and performing other broad-based administrative support responsibilities.
Duties include track and help fundraising staff analyze and maintain relationships with donors and prospects; manage all travel plans, preparations, and activities, including preparing itineraries and travel packets, running associated database reports, and processing expenses and reimbursements in a timely manner; prepare, edit, and distribute Board of Trustees meeting minutes as requested; coordinate and manage athletic event ticket assignments, allocation, and distribution, as well as other game-related activities; and manage all aspects of Advancement Team meetings, including preparing agendas and running presentations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to set priorities, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment are required as well as the ability to focus on client needs, to work both independently and with a team, and to demonstrate high degrees of personal initiative, attention to detail, problem solving, and accountability for product and outcome.
Qualified candidates must have an Associate's Degree with at least two years of prior administrative experience. Required skills include Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
