The University Annual Giving Assistant Director, Direct Marketing leads the coordination and implementation of annual giving solicitation strategies for the Office of the President, which benefit all areas of the University. The Assistant Director also creates and executes direct marketing strategies for the Rotunda Society and Recent Graduates. Working with the Associate Director, Analytics to measure return on investment, the Assistant Director, Direct Marketing implements A/B testing, and adapts strategies based on analytics to increase participation and dollars raised. The Assistant Director develops and implements a comprehensive strategy to steward annual giving donors at UVA, and provides project management support to the Director, Engagement Strategy, for GivingToHoosDay.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Understand the principles of philanthropy, higher education, and relationship management.
Understanding of marketing principles.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to maintain accurate records.
Ability to manage complex timelines.
Ability to listen carefully to and understand customers' needs, both internally and externally.
Ability to manage projects to a budget, reconcile expenses, bill appropriate entities, and analyze return on investment.
