Posting Summary:
The Department of Educational, Leadership, Foundations, and Policy in the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia is seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of Higher Education Senior Student Services Coordinator. The incumbent provides administrative oversight for the Higher Education Program in the Department of Educational Leadership, Foundations, and Policy to ensure operational excellence. Incumbent assists the Higher Education program director and Higher Ed M.Ed. program coordinator by overseeing the day-to-day operations of program, including serving as the primary contact for students, prospective students, and program partners. Incumbent also assists with internship program, coordinates career advising events, assists students with scheduling questions, and assists the program coordinator on program recruitment efforts and alumni surveys.

A bachelor's degree in education, student affairs, or related is required. One year experience in student related administrative support in a higher education setting is required. A master's degree is preferred and may substitute for experience. A minimum of two years experience in student affairs or career counseling is preferred. Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required. The ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders including students, faculty, alumni, and internship supervisors is a must, as is the ability to coordinate multiple projects and competing priorities in a busy work environment. Must be proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and basic website content management systems and survey applications. The ability to conduct and evaluate assessments and surveys is preferred. A knowledge of trends in higher education graduate programs, career development strategies, and higher education career networking is also preferred.

This is a three year appointment with potential for renewal dependent on performance and funding.
