Posting Summary:
The University of Virginia is seeking a program manager supporting the award administration of projects from the University's Strategic Investment Fund (SIF). The SIF serves as a source of funding for initiatives that have the potential to transform a critical area of knowledge or operation at the University. This position will serve as a key staff member that will work closely with SIF awardees, the SIF Post-award Assessment Committee (PAC), and other areas that support the work of SIF projects. They will help assess and track progress on the awarded projects and create reports and presentations for the SIF PAC. The position will help develop systems and processes for the tracking and review of projects. Duties combine administrative responsibilities and program outreach. This position will work independently with project leaders and report to the Office of the VP for Research.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Ability to manage complex information and provide specialized advice. Ability to manage the activities of the team or program. Ability to align program with University, state, and federal policies and regulations.
-Deep knowledge of the project management discipline. Mastery of program information. Ability to advise team appropriately in area of expertise.
-Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication in daily interactions. Proven ability to clearly articulate specific information in area of project management. Proven ability to clearly articulate team mission, vision, and goals.
-Ability to advise team on the implementation and modification of technological components of project management. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret information for senior University leaders.
-Exemplify the University's educational mission, strategic aims, and programs. Experience working with the administration of grants and sponsored research.
