Workforce Development Trainer - Mechanical
Workforce Development Trainers provide work place skills training to adults. WFD delivers training as a “hands on” experience in traditional class room settings and/or lab environments. Training may occur at any one of Waubonsee's four campuses or at a specific client site.
Training can last from a few hours to several weeks. Participants can be anywhere on the career continuum from just starting a career, changing careers or adding skill sets to a current career.
Classes may be held during the daytime, late afternoon or evening hours. Classes are periodically scheduled of Saturdays based on demand.
Trainers may be asked to participate with WFD personnel in conversations with company representatives in order to adapt training content to specific needs or situations.
Instruction style should be interactive in nature.
We are currently looking for the following skill set:
Develop and deliver classroom/ lab programming related to mechanical operation, troubleshooting and maintenance.

At least three years experience working as a mechanical maintenance technician, maintenance manager or field service engineer.
Some teaching experience.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
