Description:
The Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory Coordinator (PT) will assist with student support, schedule open lab hours, order needed lab supplies, schedule machine repairs and assist with lab maintenance and safety. The Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory Coordinator is responsible to the Dean for Business and Career Technologies.
Responsibilities:
Conduct scheduled open lab sessions.
Oversee the usage of lab consumables by completing regular inventory counts to ensure proper levels are maintained. Place orders as needed.
Complete machine repair orders and schedule maintenance.
Assist with lab setup, open houses, student competitions and special projects.
Help with general lab cleanliness. Process maintenance work orders for larger clean ups.
Maintain lab safety and wear personal protection equipment.
Follow all safety protocols, including the proper storage of and disposal of equipment and hazardous
materials according to material safety data sheet (MSDS) requirements.

Position Qualifications: Minimum:
Certificate of completion in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), industrial technology, advanced manufacturing or related discipline.
Two years of experience working with various industrial tools, equipment and machines.
Two years of student support or customer service skills.
Two years of experience with inventory and ordering processes.
Ability to work independently and follow directions, written and oral.
Excellent organizational skills.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
Experience with shop safety procedures.
Preferred:
Associate degree or two-year technical certificate in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC),
industrial technology, advanced manufacturing or related discipline.
Knowledge of software used in advanced manufacturing programs.
Advanced knowledge using/operating industrial tools, equipment, and machines.
