The Department of Neurological Sciences at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine - Neurology Health Care Service at the University of Vermont Medical Center is a newly formed translational neuroscience department at the Vermont Academic Medical Center. We are seeking to recruit two fellowship-trained movement disorder neurologists to join the evolving program. The Frederick C. The center looks to expand expertise in clinical care, clinical research, and translational neuroscience investigations. Related training in any of the following areas would be important to note: functional neuroscience (DBS, central and peripheral neurophysiology or functional imaging), clinical trials training and expertise, translational neuroscience laboratory investigative work. Other research related activities in movement disorders should be noted.
Our goal is to continue the highest level of clinical care and education the unit currently provides. Neurology residents, fellows and medical students have opportunities to receive a portion of their clinical training in this setting.
