Occupational Summary
To perform the full range of ophthalmic measurement tests

Work Performed
  • Grade OCT images according to OCT Reading Center protocols
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. reports.
  • Provide feedback to the Senior Technical Analyst, Project Manager and study sites regarding the quality of images submitted.
  • Help to certify study site OCT technicians.
  • Perform OCT technician evaluations and prepare OCT technician evaluation
  • Help to develop and implement policies and procedures as needed.
  • Assist with standard operating procedure updates as needed.
  • Help the Senior Technical Analyst to develop and maintain electronic grading systems.
  • Enhance and implement the OCT Reading Center at Duke Data Transmission Site (DTS), and train site technicians.
  • Keep abreast of new developments and techniques in the field and recommend modifications to existing systems as necessary to improve quality and efficiency; and to adapt to specific requirements for clinical and research activities.

Education

Work requires a Bachelor degree in Biology, Chemistry or other related science (or equivalent) degree.

Experience
