Occupational Summary

The Meyer lab in the Department of Biochemistry at Duke University is looking for a highly motivated research technician with molecular biology research experience. Responsibilities will include performing various molecular biology techniques, such as cloning, cell culture, DNA/RNA manipulation, and preparation of next-generation sequencing libraries. The technician will oversee his/her own research project and thus must be prepared to collect, document, and analyze their data, as well as review relevant scientific literature to help guide his/her experiments. Regular meetings with the principal investigator will be held in order to provide guidance and to discuss research progress and plan experiments.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field.
