Ctr for Brain Imaging & Analysis

The Brain Imaging and Analysis Center (BIAC) at Duke University is taking applications for an MR Technologist. BIAC is a research center in the School of Medicine providing MR imaging services to research groups across the university. As such, we interact with a wide variety of groups and subject populations that include healthy and patient subjects, from infants to the elderly.

We are looking for an energetic,pro-active,service oriented technologist who is willing and able to work with our users to provide high-quality data and an overall positive experience. Some of the duties involved include:Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedure performance.

Position patients for MR scans using immobilization and protective equipment as required.

Evaluate MR scans for technical quality.Perform complex tasks associated with the operation of high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce high-quality data.

Assist users in setting up and maintaining imaging protocols.Troubleshoot any issues with scanners and associated research equipment.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work herein.

*Requires some evenings and Saturdays schedule.

Education and experience required:

MUST BE A GRADUATE OF A 24 MONTH AMA APPROVED PROGRAM OF RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY AND ARRT REGISTERED.

PREVIOUS MR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED; MUST BECOME MR REGISTERED WITHIN ONE YEAR OF HIRE.
