Anesthesiology-Basic Sciences

Objective

Perform experiments, including Gel electrophoresis, ELISA, radiolig and binding assays, cell culture,isolation of plasma and lymphocytes, and other miscellaneous experiments performed in a biochemistry laboratory.Assigned Responsibilities# Search literature and prepare reports on specified subject such as delirium and diabetes.

# Organize and analyze data for publication.# Determine and set up instruments, material and apparatus and operate laboratory equipment required for specific tests.

# Perform experiments related to proteomics including gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry.

# Isolate plasma, serum, and lymphocytes from blood samples collected from patients enrolled in clinical trials.

# Prepare culture media, chemicals, reagents and solutions.

# Maintain sufficient inventory of material, supplies, and equipment for performance of duties; clean and maintain laboratory equipment.

# Review work of others in lower level positions within a designated area

.# Assist in training new employees.
