Job Description

Job Summary: Primarily responsible for the teaching/learning process and will also participate in the necessary operations of the institution. Other responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Public Administration or related area, conduct research, advise students, serve on departmental and university committees and perform other duties as assigned. The ability to teach courses in a new Master's of Public Administration program is essential. While subfields are open, a focus on American Politics would be ideal, along with sufficient training to teach introductory graduate courses in statistics and/or formal modeling.

Required Education/Experience/Skills: Earned doctorate Political Science or Public Administration. Must possess the minimum credential standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) which normally include at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in the subject area or suitable approved justifications. Must exhibit the potential for a sustainable record of scholarly activity.
